maintenance and how history is created in the SAP Human Resources system. In
addition to maintaining current employee data, new employees are hired and

2. What we get from this unit?
This unit give us participants a view of maintaining
employee records.
3. What is the function of infotypes?
The mySAP ERP HCM system stores an employee’s data in
records. Each infotypes record has a validity. This is generally a validity
interval or a key date.
4. How many various of infotypes do you know?
There are three different way of infotypes i knew. Single
screen, personnel actions and fast entry.
5. Can you explain those three infotypes?
Yes, i can.
a. Single Screen
(individual infotypes maintenance)
You can call individual infotypes to maintain data for a
particular subject or situation. Maintain one infotype at a time for a
personnel number
b. Personnel
Action
If the subject or situation is more complex and you need to
maintain more than one infotype, you can use personnel actions. When you
perform a personnel acction, the system display all of the relevant infotypes
for you to maintain, one after the other
c. Fast Entry
Fast entry enables you to maintain an infotype for more than
one personnel number simultaneously
6. What is management of global employment model?
The concurrent employment model in mySAP ERP HCM describes
the relationship between employee and employer.
7. What is business example in individual infotype maintenance?
Overtime, employee information changes and these cchanges
need to be stored and updated in the system. A history of the information
should be maintained.
8. Can you explain how important infotypes in the SAP ERP
HCM?
Yes, i can. In the SAP ERP HCM system, infotypes that are
most frequently used are grouped together by subject matter and assigned to
static manus. One infotypes can included in more than one menu.
9. What is the search help function in the work?
The search function in the work area enables you to select
personnel numbers according to certain criteria succh as last name, first name,
birth date, and organizational assignment.
10. What proceeds can be followed to search for personnel
number by the search help?
a. Position the
cursor on peronnel number and double-click the arrow symbol or choose F4
b. Then select
the type of search help you want to use
c. On the next
screen you can restrict the value range of the search
d. The system
displays a list of all the personnel numbers that match your selection criteria
11. Explain the data fields in the individual information!
Such as last and first name also date of birth is defined in
data fields in individual information. Data fields are grouped into data groups
or information units according to their content. In human resources, these
information units are called information types or infotypes for short

each subtype?
Yes, it is. Infosubtypes or subtypes for short, subdivide an
infotype’s data records. You may wan to subdivide such information to make it
easier to manage or because you want tp assign different control features to
the various subtypes of an infotype.

14. What is the function of create in maintaining infotypes?
The create function enables you to enter new data. You
create a new record while the old record, which may be delimited if necessary,
remains in the system. The infotype history is created using the appropriate
validity periods.

The change function enables you to correct an existing
record without creating a new one.
16. What is the function of copy in maintaining infotypes?
The copy function also enables you to create new infotype
records and it also updates the infotype history.
17. What we can do in generating histories?
If we create a new record when a previous record already
exist, the system reaacts in one of the following ways it delimits, extends,
divides or deletes record.
18. In the solution three: individual infotype maintenance,
how to make our work easier?
In the Easy Access Menu, navigate to human resources ->
personnel management -> administration -> HR master data. Choose
personnel action transaction with the left mouse key and drag it to the
favorites manu option, holding the left mouse key down. Then release. Do the
same for maintain and fast entry transactions.
19. What kind of business example in personnel actions?
A new employee is hired.
20. Is hiring an employee necessary in organization?
Yes, it is. Because the most important objective of master
data administration in HR is to enter employee-related data for administrative,
time-recording and payroll purposes.
21. What else to be the stuff for hire a new employee?
We can hire employee also without using recruitment. If we
do not choose to use the fucntions in recruitmen, we can hire employee using a
personnel action in personnel administration.
22. What we have to enter when we hire an employee?
We must enter a range of employee data into the system when
we are hiring an employee. We perform this personnel activity using the hiring
personnel action.
23. What kind of business example in fast entry?
We want to enter bonuses for several employees in an
efficient manner.
24. What kind of other examples businnes in fast entry?
A bonus is paid to an entire department. You want a fast
entry screen to gather the names and quickly apply the amounts in one easy
screen.
25. What is the function of the fast entry for actions?
The fast entry for actions transacction draws together
important fields of an action on one screen. In customizing, you define which
fields from which infotypes are displayed on the screen
